Execute Autolaunch Flow

Run a Salesforce autolaunched flow from a Maestro agentic process, pass values to the flow's input variables, and wait for the flow to complete.

Description

This activity runs a Salesforce autolaunched flow as a step in a Maestro agentic process. The activity is asynchronous: Maestro starts the flow, then waits until Salesforce reports that the flow execution is complete before moving to the next step.

When you select a flow, the activity reads the flow's variables from Salesforce. The flow's input variables appear as input fields, and its output variables are added to the activity's output.

Prerequisites

Adding the activity to a Maestro process

  1. Add a service task element to the canvas and open the task's Properties panel.
  2. In the Implementation section, from the Action dropdown list, select Start and wait for external workflow.
  3. Select the Salesforce Agentforce & Flows connector.
  4. Select an existing connection or create a new one.
  5. From Activity, select Execute Autolaunch Flow.
  6. From Flow name, select the flow to run.
  7. Enter values for the input fields generated from the flow's input variables.

After the flow completes, the flow's details and output variables are available to later steps in the process. Each run also creates a Flow Execution record in Salesforce. For details, refer to Monitoring and verifying the execution status of auto-launched flows.
