OpenAI activities release notes.

The Generate Text Completion activity is deprecated. It uses the OpenAI Completions API (/v1/completions), and OpenAI is retiring every model that runs on it:

After October 23, 2026, the activity is no longer available for new workflows, and existing workflows that use it fail. Migrate these workflows to the Generate Chat Completion activity.

OpenAI retires gpt-3.5-turbo on October 23, 2026. Workflows that use this model in the Generate Chat Completion activity must switch to a newer model before that date.

This release doesn't include any improvements or fixes. We updated the package description displayed in Studio, to include details on how to get the latest version of Integration Service activities.

Use this version of the activity package only if you are on Studio Desktop 2023.4 or lower.

Previous versions of this package are no longer listed in the Studio official feed, but they remain under the UiPath standard support policy for activity packages. Workflows using activities from unlisted versions will continue to work.

A new HTTP Request activity is now available, allowing you to go beyond the predefined activities in a given package and make requests to any endpoint of a vendor's API.

HTTP Request reuses the connector pre-configuration and provides transparency of headers, authentication, and query parameters. You can reuse any of your connections, and provide the endpoint and the JSON payload. Use this connector-specific HTTP Request activity to benefit from Integration Service's capabilities for connection management.

We added a file upload capability for the Generate Chat Completion activity. When using the GPT-4V model, you can now add images along with prompts.

The Generate Chat Completion activity now includes support for the GPT-4V model. This offers users the ability to submit images along with their prompts for vision capabilities.

Erratum - added March 13, 2024: This release was mistakenly not announced on its original date.

This activity package is now always displayed in Studio, in the Activities panel, in the Available section. To install any activity, drag and drop it into the canvas (in Studio Desktop) or add it to your workflow (in Studio Web).

You don't have to manually update the package. As part of UiPath Automation Cloud™, the activity package gets updated automatically.

This activity package can be used with UiPath Studio versions 2023.10 and newer.

The Generate Chat Completion activity now has a new field, Model Name, which enables you to choose which LLM you want to use. The currently available models are GPT-3.5-Turbo and GPT-4.
