Send Bot Direct Message

Description

Sends a direct message to a user from the same tenant using a bot. Works only if the Include Bot option was selected when creating a connection and the UiPath Notification bot is added to the workspace.

Configuration

  • Connection - The connection established in Integration Service. Access the dropdown menu to choose, add, or manage connections.

  • Select Switch to object view to explore and map your data using the Data Mapping editor.

  • UPN (User principal name) - The UPN (User principal name) which uniquely identifies the recipient across Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services. If this field is left empty, the message will be sent to the connection owner by default. This field supports String type input.
  • Message type - Select the type of message, either Text or Adaptive card.
  • Message - The text message being sent. Available when the message type is Text.
  • Adaptive card JSON - Pass the string by converting the generated JSON from https://adaptivecards.io/designer/. Paste the JSON in the Text builder or pass escaped JSON in the Expression editor. Available when the message type is Adaptive card.
Manage Properties

Use the Manage Properties wizard to configure or use any of the object's standard or custom fields. You can select fields to add them to the activity canvas. The added standard or custom fields are available in the Properties panel (in Studio Desktop) or under Show additional properties (in Studio Web).
