Prerequisites

To ensure that the Inventory Management solution can generate accurate and actionable inventory recommendations, organizations must meet the following requirements.

Organizational requirements

The inventory management solution is intended for organizations that actively plan and review inventory decisions.

To use this solution effectively:

  • Inventory planning responsibilities should be clearly defined.
  • Teams should have established processes for reviewing and acting on inventory recommendations.
  • Inventory decisions should be made at a cadence that allows insights to be reviewed and applied regularly.

Data readiness requirements

The Inventory Management solution supports inventory decision-making but does not replace execution systems or systems of record that are already in place.

The solution relies on historical stock, demand, supplier and other data. The accuracy and stability of inventory recommendations depend on the volume and quality of historical data available.

Before onboarding:

  • Required datasets must be available in organization systems.
  • Data should be complete and reliable, and historical data should be available to support analysis and calibration.
  • For a detailed list of required datasets and field-level requirements, refer to Inventory management data requirements.

Data requirements

For details on the data requirements for the Inventory Management solution, refer to the following resources:

Limitations

  • A minimum of 12 months of historical data is required
  • Practical limits on the number of SKU-by-location combinations may apply and can influence solution sizing and licensing. These limits depend on the service levels and use cases being supported. Please contact your UiPath team member for more information.
  • These requirements are not exhaustive and should be reviewed with a UiPath representative as part of solution planning.
