Third-party agent
Call an AI agent that runs on another platform, such as Databricks, Google Vertex, Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, Salesforce Agentforce, or Snowflake Cortex.
Third-party agent lets a workflow call an AI agent that runs on another platform. The workflow sends the agent a task, and continues with its answer.
Add a third-party agent
- Select + on the handle of the node it follows, then select Agent > Third-party agent.
- Pick the agent's action. The list is grouped by platform, and Actions lists every action.
- In the properties panel, select a connection to that platform, or create one. Create a connection describes how to create one.
Each action has its own fields, which appear in the properties panel after you select a connection.
Actions
| Platform | Action | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Databricks Agent | Query a Serving Endpoint | Send a request to a serving endpoint, with an input schema that's generated for you. |
| Databricks Agent | Query a Serving Endpoint (Manual) | Send a request to a serving endpoint, with JSON input that you enter yourself. |
| Google Vertex | Execute Google Vertex Agent | Run a Google Vertex AI reasoning engine agent. |
| Microsoft Azure AI Foundry | Execute the Thread | Run a thread with an Azure AI Foundry agent. |
| Microsoft Azure AI Foundry | Invoke Agent | Send a message to an Azure AI Foundry agent and get its response. |
| Salesforce Agentforce & Flows | Execute Salesforce Agent | Run a Salesforce agent. |
| Snowflake Cortex | Interact Agent | Send a query to a Cortex Agent object and get its response as a stream of events. |
| Snowflake Cortex | Run Agent Without an Agent Object | Run a Cortex agent without creating an agent object first. |
Next steps
- Autonomous agent: build an agent on the canvas instead.
- Coded agent: call an agent that a developer wrote in code.
- Community: ask questions and share workflows with other builders on the UiPath Forum.
