Jira
Look up the Jira connector: its actions and events in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a Jira connection.
The Jira connector lets a workflow create and update issues, manage comments, and track work in Jira Cloud. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under Jira. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in Jira.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Add Comment | Add a new comment to an issue in Jira. |
| Add Issue Attachment | Add an attachment to a Jira issue. |
| Create Issue | Create a new issue in Jira. |
| Delete Record | Delete a record in Jira. |

| Update Issue Assignee | Assign or unassign a user to a Jira issue. |
| Update Issue Status | Update the status of an issue in Jira. |
Events
Each event can start a workflow, as a Connector trigger, or pause a run until it happens, as a Connector event. In the connector's list, events have the WAIT tag.
| Event | What it does |
|---|---|
| Issue Created | Triggers automation when a new issue is created in Jira. |
| Issue Updated | Triggers actions when an existing issue in Jira is updated. |
| Record Created | Triggers when you add a new record. |
| Record Updated | Triggers when an existing record was updated. |
Connection
A Jira node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, choose one of these sign-in methods:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| Basic | The URL of your Jira site, your Atlassian account email, and an API token for that account. |
| OAuth 2.0 | Your Atlassian account. You sign in to Jira Cloud and grant access. |
| Bring Your Own OAuth 2.0 App | The URL of your Jira site, and the client ID and client secret of an OAuth 2.0 app that you create in Atlassian. |
The connector works with Jira Cloud only.
