ServiceNow
Look up the ServiceNow connector: its actions and events in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a ServiceNow connection.
The ServiceNow connector lets a workflow manage incidents, incident tasks, and attachments, and records in any ServiceNow table. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under ServiceNow. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in ServiceNow.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Add Attachment | Attach a file to an existing record in ServiceNow. |

Events
Each event can start a workflow, as a Connector trigger, or pause a run until it happens, as a Connector event. In the connector's list, events have the WAIT tag.
| Event | What it does |
|---|---|
| Incident Created | Triggers when a new incident record is added in ServiceNow. |
| Incident Task Created | Triggers actions when an incident task is created in ServiceNow. |
| Incident Task Updated | Triggers actions when an incident task status changes in ServiceNow. |
| Incident Updated | Triggers when an existing ServiceNow record is updated. |
| Record Created | Triggers when you add a new record. |
| Record Updated | Triggers when an existing record was updated. |
Connection
A ServiceNow node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, choose one of these sign-in methods:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| Basic | The URL of your ServiceNow instance, and the username and password of a ServiceNow user. |
| OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code | The URL of your instance, and the client ID and client secret of an OAuth client in the ServiceNow Application Registry. |
| OAuth 2.0 Password | The URL of your instance, the username and password of a service account, and the client ID and client secret of an OAuth client. |
