Licensing

This page provides information about Maestro licensing.

Unified Pricing is a licensing model that consolidates various pricing models into a comprehensive and streamlined approach. This pricing model simplifies customer experiences and provides consistent licensing across products, including the capabilities available in Maestro.

Flex is a licensing model that offers different entitlements based on the level of the platform license. Specifically, Flex licenses are designed to provide adaptability for users, as they can map to certain entitlements associated with more advanced licensing, such as Unified Pricing.

Unified pricing

Note: The licensing information on this page applies to you if you are on Unified Pricing. If you are on Flex, refer to the Flex licensing page.

Note: Process Mining usage inside Maestro (e.g., Maestro-generated data or Process Mining Apps created within Maestro) does not require separate Process Mining licenses. Only external Process Mining scenarios follow the Process Mining licensing model.

For general licensing information, refer to the Automation Cloud admin guide.

Using Process Mining with Maestro

You can use Process Mining capabilities together with Maestro. Licensing depends on whether you use only Maestro-generated data or extend with external data sources.

Maestro-generated data
  • Included at no additional cost.
  • You can create and edit Process Mining Apps in Maestro when they use only Maestro-generated data.
  • No Process Mining prerequisites apply:
    • No AI Unit requirements.
    • No minimum license requirements (such as one Developer and five Business Users).
  • The only requirement is to activate the Process Mining service in your tenant.
Maestro + external data
  • A free allowance of 10,000 events is included for Maestro projects that also use external data sources.
  • After the allowance is exceeded, standard Process Mining licensing applies. This includes AI Unit consumption and any other prerequisites defined for standalone Process Mining.
What is not consumed
  • Maestro-generated data does not consume AI Units.
  • No hidden prerequisites are required beyond enabling the Process Mining service.
Typical customer scenarios
ScenarioLicensing impact
Existing Process Mining customer adopting Maestro Continue using your existing Process Mining licenses. Maestro integrations with Process Mining are free for Maestro-generated data.
Automation Cloud customer adopting Maestro and interested in Process Mining No prerequisites. Only activation of the Process Mining service is required.
Automation Cloud customer adopting Maestro without Process Mining Maestro runs normally. If Process Mining is activated later, Maestro-generated data is included at no cost.
