Platform Unit consumption

Integration Service uses Platform Units as a measure of consumption for executed Integration Activities. The consumption of Platform Units occurs in the following way: for every 100 executed activities, 2 Platform Units are used.

Table 3. Consumption rates based on process source
Process sourceConsumption rate
API Workflows100 executed activities = 2 Platform Units
Agents100 executed activities = 2 Platform Units
Maestro100 executed activities = 2 Platform Units
RPA Workflows (executed by attended, unattended, or serverless robots)1Not metered

1 Integration Activities used in RPA Workflows are charged via the robot’s runtime licensing and are not metered separately.

Overconsumption

If you exceed your allocated number of Integration Activities:

  • There is no execution block mechanism enforced. Additional Integration Activities continue to execute, even after Platform Units are exhausted, provided you have licensed an SKU that includes Platform Unit entitlements.
  • Overconsumed Integration Activities still execute, and no charges apply beyond the licensed Platform Units unless enforcement is configured at the tenant level.
  • Overconsumption draws from remaining Platform Units at the standard rate (100 Integration Activities = 2 Platform Units).
