Integration Service user guide
This section provides a comprehensive overview of the licensing framework for Integration Service, applicable to both Unified Pricing and Flex licensing plans. It details the fundamental concepts of consumption units and their associated rates, offering a clear understanding of how Integration Service usage is measured and billed across different licensing models.
For plan-specific information, refer to the dedicated sections:
About
Integration Service is not licensed as a standalone service. Instead, its usage is measured through Integration Activities, which are executed within various UiPath products. These activities consume licensing units (either Platform Units under Unified Pricing or API Calls under Flex), based on where and how they're used.
An activity represents a single unit of consumption counted when an individual action or operation is executed as part of the deployed automation or workflow such as an interaction with an external application. Integration Activities refer to any of the following operations executed through Integration Service:
-
A connector-based interaction with an external system
-
An HTTP request made via a connector HTTP activity
-
A trigger that initiates an automation through a third-party event or webhook
Integration Activities are used within several UiPath products:
-
RPA Workflows
-
Agents
-
Maestro
-
API Workflows
The following table outlines how Integration Activities are consumed across different action types within the UiPath platform. It specifies when an activity is counted and highlights key exclusions for each action type.
Action | Consumption | Exclusions |
---|---|---|
Trigger | 1 Integration Activity is consumed each time an automation is successfully initiated by an external event (e.g., webhook, API call) | - Manual/time-based triggers
- Polling triggers with no event match |
Standard activity | 1 Integration Activity is consumed per successful connector execution (including bulk/batch operations, which count as a single activity) | - Native UiPath integrations are excluded from consumption |
HTTP Request | 1 Integration Activity is consumed per HTTP request to an external system | None |
Consumption rates
Integration Activities are billed differently depending on your licensing model, and the cost is measured through Platform Units (on Unified Pricing) and API calls (on Flex).
Viewing the consumption
To monitor the usage of Platform Units or API calls:
-
Go to Admin > Your Organization > Licenses.
-
Open the Consumables tab.
