Enabling Transactional Billing for a folder

Enable Transactional Billing on a folder from the tenant Licenses settings, so that executions in the folder are charged per transaction instead of per component.

Transactional Billing is set per folder. Enable it on a folder when you want the executions inside it to be charged as transactions rather than as individual components.

Prerequisites

  • Your organization is on the Unified Pricing licensing plan and has Platform Units available.
  • You have the organization administrator role or the license administrator role.
Note:

Transactional Billing also requires an entitlement that is granted with your plan. If the Settings tab is not available on the Licenses page, your organization does not have it. Contact your UiPath account team.

Enabling Transactional Billing

  1. Go to Admin and select the tenant that contains the folder.
  2. Select Licenses.
  3. Select the Settings tab.
  4. In the Folder pane, expand the folder tree and select the folder.
  5. On the Transaction Billing tab, select the Enable transaction billing toggle.

Result: Executions in the folder are charged per transaction rather than per component, and Platform Units are consumed based on transaction size rather than on the number of individual steps executed.

Important:

All subfolders of the selected folder inherit this setting. Changing it on a folder applies it to every folder nested under it.
