Autopilot search

Documentation for the Autopilot search (v1) experience, a one-shot retrieval capability available in Orchestrator and Test Manager.

Autopilot search is the one-shot retrieval experience. You ask a question and Autopilot looks it up — there is no multi-step conversation or iterative workflow. Each prompt is independent.

Autopilot search is available in:

  • Orchestrator — AI-powered search in the chat panel using Web Search, Web Reader, and UiPath Documentation Search. Refer to Product availability.
  • Test Manager — Natural language search across Test Manager objects (test cases, requirements, test sets) with full, partial, and fuzzy matching. Refer to Search Test Manager project.
  • Action Center — Search via the right panel, accessible from the global header entry point.

How it works

Autopilot search uses connected retrieval sources to find relevant information based on your query. It does not generate automations, write code, or modify your project. The response is a single retrieval result, not the start of a conversation.
