Inventory Management Solution now available
The Inventory Management Solution is now available as part of UiPath Supply Chain and Retail Solutions.
UiPath Supply Chain and Retail Solutions are part of the Industry & Department Solutions portfolio, a collection of AI-powered applications designed to support specific business functions with decision intelligence. These solutions combine UiPath's automation capabilities with demand forecasting, optimization, and recommendation models to help operational teams make faster, more consistent decisions. This release also includes the Commercial Pricing Solution and the Merchandising Solution.
Context
The Inventory Management Solution helps organizations plan and manage inventory across complex supply networks. It is delivered through Peak's Inventory AI product, including capabilities exposed through Dynamic Inventory experiences.
What it does
The Inventory Management Solution analyzes supply chain data to evaluate inventory trade-offs and produce recommendations. Core capabilities include:
- Scalable demand forecasting — generates a demand forecast for every SKU-location combination, recalculated daily using historical sales data.
- Safety stock calculation — calculates safety stock requirements at every SKU-location combination, targeting a Cycle Service Level (CSL) or Fill Rate based on configured business objectives.
- Stock level recommendations — determines minimum and maximum stock levels and assigns a dynamic stock status (understocked, on target, or overstocked) to each SKU-location combination.
- Product flagging — identifies SKUs requiring attention, including best sellers, dead stock, and trending products.
Who it's for
The Inventory Management Solution is designed for supply chain planners, replenishment teams, and inventory managers responsible for stock decisions across multiple products, locations, or channels.
Why use it
Consider the Inventory Management Solution if your organization:
- Manages inventory across many products, locations, or channels, making it difficult to maintain a consistent view of inventory health.
- Needs to balance service levels, inventory cost, and working capital, with frequent trade-offs between competing objectives.
- Experiences demand variability that reduces the effectiveness of static replenishment rules.
- Relies on manual analysis or spreadsheets to identify stock risks or plan replenishment.
- Wants to apply consistent decision logic at scale while retaining control over recommended actions.
Key outputs
The Inventory Management Solution produces recommendations and insights to support planning decisions:
- Stock status indicators at the SKU-location level (understocked, on target, overstocked).
- Product flags highlighting items requiring attention (best sellers, dead stock, trending up, trending down).
- Replenishment and reorder recommendations (available via optional Reorder and Replenishment modules).
The Inventory Management Solution does not execute inventory transactions. Teams use its outputs to inform decisions in their existing enterprise systems.
Data requirements
To generate accurate insights, the Inventory Management Solution requires data from your existing enterprise systems, including product information, customer orders, stock levels, pricing, purchase orders, transfer orders, locations, and supplier records. This data is integrated into the platform during onboarding.
