The Markdown & Promotions API resources support the Merchandising solution, a B2C pricing application that enables retailers to manage and optimize markdown strategies and promotional pricing across locations and products.

Data model
The Markdown & Promotions data model centers on products and locations, linked through pricing, sales, stock, and tax records. Variant-level companion tables (sale_extra, stock_extra) cover cases where a single product is sold in multiple variants, and currency_conversion provides exchange rates for normalising values across regions.
