Unified cloud documentation for Action Center
We now offer unified documentation for Action Center across Automation Cloud and Test Cloud, Automation Cloud Public Sector and Test Cloud Public Sector, as well as Automation Cloud Dedicated and Test Cloud Dedicated.
You can now find all user and API information in a single, consistent set of guides. The release notes are also now available in one guide, organized into separate chapters for each cloud offering.
This update is part of a broader effort to create a unified documentation experience for UiPath cloud offerings, which will expand to include more products over time. For details, refer to Unified cloud documentation tracker.

Enhanced action assignment permissions
We are introducing enhanced permission controls that give administrators more granular and explicit control over how actions are assigned, reassigned, forwarded, and unassigned. This update separates previously bundled behaviors into distinct permissions, while preserving existing behavior by default.
What changed
Previously, a single admin permission controlled all action assignment operations. With this update, assignment responsibilities are split into clear, purpose-specific permissions for both administrators and business users.
New permission: Action self-assignment
A new set of permissions governs how business users manage actions assigned to themselves:
- ActionSelfAssignment.Create: Allows users to assign unassigned actions to themselves
- ActionSelfAssignment.Edit: Allows users to forward actions currently assigned to them
- ActionSelfAssignment.Delete: Allows users to unassign actions currently assigned to them
These permissions support folder-level granularity, enabling more precise control over self-assignment behavior.
Updated admin action assignment permissions
The existing admin permission has been refined and split as follows:
- ActionAssignment.Create: Continues to control assigning actions to other users. (Previously controlled assign, unassign, and reassign operations)
- ActionAssignment.Edit: Controls modifying existing assignments, including reassigning actions between users or groups
- ActionAssignment.Delete: Controls unassigning actions from users or groups
These permissions are intended for administrative roles and provide full control over all assignment operations.
No action required
To maintain current behavior after the upgrade:
- Non-admin users with Actions.View and Actions.Edit will automatically receive ActionSelfAssignment.Create, Edit, and Delete.
- Admin roles with ActionAssignment.Create will automatically receive ActionAssignment.Edit and ActionAssignment.Delete
Administrators can later fine-tune these permissions to match organizational policies, without disrupting existing workflows.
For more information on Action Center roles, refer to Roles and permissions.
